Earth Day Celebration @ Guthrie Green

Bring the kids and join OK Roots at Guthrie Green on Saturday, April 20, from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Free music, environmental speakers, electric vehicles, community and craft booths, live painting, tons of family activities, free samples of Native American cuisine and so much more. 

In addition to the main event at Guthrie Green, satellite events include an organic wine tasting and concert at LowDown, a farm-to-fire dinner at Tulsa Farm Lab, and a feature film and panel on OK water issues at Circle Cinema.

Saturday, April 20 Schedule:

All Day - Community, educational, and craft booths, electric vehicle displays, kids and family activities, face painting, live art, Inspyral Circus, and free native cuisine samples by Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness

3 - 4 p.m. - Bring the kids! Drum Circle land acknowledgment, Tulsa Library fun with seeds, Children's Museum Discovery Lab, kids crafts, face painting, chalk art, circus fun, and more

4 - 5 p.m. - Speaker: Niko Albert Williams (Cherokee) of Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness on traditional sustainable Native foods. Music by Wheat Penny.

5 - 6 p.m. - Speakers: OK Sierra Club Director Kara Joy McKee on renewables and Reverend Gerald Davis on climate change and environmental justice of Oklahoma. Music by Mother Earth String Band Choir.

6 - 7 p.m. - Speaker: Environmental journalist Molly Bullock on Arkansas River issues. Music by Ken Pomeroy Band (Cherokee).

7 - 8:30 p.m. - Speaker: Activist-actor Casey Camp Horinek (Ponca) on rights of nature. Music by Red Dirt Rangers.
